Hi, I'm Emily
Where It All Began

Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and it was there, in 7th grade, that I first discovered my passion for capturing the world around me. That’s when I realized photography isn’t just about images—it’s about feeling. It’s about preserving fleeting moments, turning them into something tangible and timeless.
I got my first camera when I was 12. It was a Kodak EasyShare 8.2 Megapixel point-and-shoot—and yes, I still have it. But my true journey began when I met Peter Leahy, an incredible mentor who recognized my passion and encouraged me to grow. He gifted me my first Nikon DSLR, which sparked my lifelong love for Nikon and set me on the path I’m on today.

Weddings & Everything In-Between
I started out taking senior portraits for my classmates, but my love for storytelling quickly led me to weddings. At 17 years old, I shot my first wedding. Looking back, it wasn’t perfect (far from it), but I fell in love with the experience—the emotion, the chaos, the once-in-a-lifetime moments. That was it for me. Photography wasn’t just a hobby; it became my whole world.

Right out of high school, I turned photography into my full-time career. School never really interested me - I barely graduated, and I ended up testing out of school. But photography? That was everything. I took on different jobs here and there to make ends meet, especially after moving out on my own at 17. One year, I even had seven different W-2s—not because I couldn’t hold a job, but because traditional work never felt right to me. I tried everything, but no matter what, I always found my way back to photography. It was the one thing that truly felt like mine. Photography became my way of experiencing life, of capturing both the extraordinary and the quiet in-between moments.

Hitting The Reset Button
In 2021, I moved to Milwaukee, and by 2022, I knew I needed a break. I was burnt out. After years of working nonstop, I stepped away from weddings to focus on my own creative projects and refine my skills. My gracious and kind partner, Isaiah, supported me while I took time off, encouraging me to find my own path again. It gave me the clarity I needed - that I didn't want to follow the current trends, be TikTok famous. I wanted to create work that felt true to me. I wanted to rediscover what truly inspires me.

Now, I’m back—recharged, rebranded, and ready to capture photos in a way that feels bold, cinematic, and completely unique. My signature style revolves around creative lighting and nighttime photography, crafting images that feel like scenes from a dream. I don’t just capture photos—I tell love stories through light, shadow, and emotion.

Beyond The Lens
Outside of photography, I’m usually hiking with my dog Sage, traveling to exotic locations, driving fast cars, or snuggling with my parrot, Margarita. Life is meant to be an adventure, and I bring that same energy into my photography—always looking for new ways to create something unique.
I’m so excited to work with people who value authentic storytelling, bold imagery, and a photographer who truly sees them. If that sounds like you, let’s connect—I’d love to hear your story.
